Robyn Legge (Key)

Robyn Legge (Key) has been working in the Early childhood field since 1989. Robyn grew up with a love of children, and even as a toddler would line up dolls and “play school.” She spent her primary and high school years babysitting, nannying, and teaching Sunday School. Robyn went to Charles Sturt University (Then called Mitchell College of Advanced Education)  full-time from 1986 to 1988 inclusive and completed a Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood).

During these years in Bathurst, Robyn was a nanny to two University lecturers’ children. Ruse Childcare Centre and Kindergarten employed Robyn as the full-time teacher and Director in 1989, where she worked for the next ten years in the classrooms. During this time Robyn studied at University via external studies and graduated from Charles Sturt University in 1992, with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) as well as doing some after-hours teaching of adults studying childcare at Liverpool TAFE.

Robyn had two children and continued working in the business with all the behind the scenes workings of the centre. In 2011 Robyn designed a new purpose built centre and playground, Macarthur Early Learning, in Elderslie. She set up the classrooms, recruited and inducted staff and managed all the new enrolment enquiries. This centre operated from January 2012 until it was sold in August 2014. Robyn’s children attended Macarthur Anglican School, and she has been involved in reading and maths groups when her children were young, and then Robyn went on to assist in the establishment of a playgroup at the school, where she volunteered for two years. Robyn is currently (professional standards for teachers) accredited under the Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards NSW.

Exploring Tree is a vision Robyn has had for children, which has grown over all these years of passion for Early Childhood Education, and her Christian walk.
